Enigmacon XI did not happen in the 2007-2008 year due to problems securing a venue. The following info should be considered historic for 2007-2008, and not an indication of the status of Enigmacon XI for the 2008-2008 year.

The 11th convention hosted by Enigma at UCLA (Enigmacon). The con is has not yet been scheduled, however we are taking down dates to avoid. Assume the con will take place sometime between January and May 2008, and will favor early either Winter or Spring quarter. Looking at the UCLA calendar for 2007-2008 ( http://www.registrar.ucla.edu/calendar/07-08cal.htm ) that means Jan-Feb for Winter, or April-May for Spring.

• March 2008 - (last part of Winter Quarter/Finals/Spring Break)
• June 2008 - (last part of Spring Quarter/Finals/Graduation/Summer Break)

[edit] DATES UNDER CONSIDERATION

Does anyone have any objections to, or preference for either of the following dates?

End of Week 6, Spring Quarter, 2008: Saturday May 10th (Mother's Day Weekend)

or

End of Week 8, Spring Quarter, 2008: Saturday May 24th (Memorial Day Weekend) I OBJECT TO THIS. STRONGLY. (People will go home.) There's another reason not to do this weekend - this is traditionally Maxicon weekend at Pat's place.

I like May 17th (Marissa)

Has anyone went to A-level to find out when AGB and other locations are available? Usually this will be your limiting factor, not your club's best date. Many organizations reserve a year in advance. Don't forget the Court of Sciences and South Campus, there's a whole different system for reserving those rooms and they usually aren't in as much demand. Of course AGB rules. (FAITH)
